From Goodreads:

In this volume we’ll see the Heartstopper gang go on a school trip to Paris! Not only are Nick and Charlie navigating a new city, but also telling more people about their relationship AND learning more about the challenges each other are facing in private…

Meanwhile Tao and Elle will face their feelings for each other, Tara and Darcy share more about their relationship origin story, and the teachers supervising the trip seem… rather close…?

My Thoughts

These graphic novels are just gorgeous and sweet and lovely. It has every kind of LGBTQIA+ rep imaginable, reflecting all kinds of people. There is even so cutely awkward Adults flirting which I just adored in its cringe-worthy gloriousness! Its great to see our main characters maturing, finding themselves and their people, navigating all the usually horrors of being a teenager, with while finding footing in and enjoying their new relationship.

It is just filled with such sweet and tender moments while also covering so very important topics. This volume follows Nick and Charlie on a school trip to Paris but manages to cover all the different thoughts and feelings associated with coming out. It also deals with the aftermath of bulling, dealing with homophobia – even from within your own family, absent family, self harm and eating disorders. All of these are covered in a sensitive and compassionate manor with lighter heartwarming, sweet and funny moments that don’t diminish the overall message. I have loved all of these graphic novels so far giving them all 5 stars and I can’t wait to continue on.
