Happy Wednesday!

Its that time of the Week again! WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme that was revived by Taking on a World of Words. I like it cause it is fairly simple but allows me to check in with my reading but also with you!

WWW Wednesday asks just three questions:

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?

WHAT BOOK HAVE YOU RECENTLY FINISHED?

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU WILL READ NEXT?

The Angel of the Crows
Katherine Addison

This is an eARC and I was really excited by the blurb which promised a really interesting world building. What the blurb doesnt mention is is is a paranormal retelling of a couple of the Sherlock Holmes stories. In fact calling it a retelling is generous as its more like a regurgitation with some names changed (but not all) and some paranormal elements jammed in. Which so far has made it pretty disappointing. I am hoping if I continue it will diverge from A Study in Scarlet into its own story as I could have just as easily read A Study in Scarlet!

A Declaration of the Rights of Magicians
H.G Parry

Anyone that has read anything on my blog or Twitter this year knows how much I loved H.G. Parry’s debut, The Unlikely Escape of Uriah Heep, I haven’t stopped talking about it. Even though it was one of the first books I read this year It held the spot of my favourite read firmly. Until now! As this was an eARC I will be publishing my full review very soon but spoilers I will be gushing

Lies, Damned Lies and History
Jodi Taylor

Chronicles of St Mary’s #7

I am missing Max, Peterson and Markham. I was gifted the remaining books in this series (with a promise of book 11 when it is released) for my birthday and they have been sitting in my TBR cart looking all pretty waiting for me to pick them up. I am having to hold my self back and ration them out as they are just so fun and fast paced.

So that is my WWW post for this week. I will see you next Wednesday to update you. What are you reading this week? Have you finished anything lately you loved?

I would love to chat all things bookish with you! You can comment down below or find me on Twitter or Goodreads!

Happy Reading!

    1. I am a big sci-fi fantasy reader and all of these are all either historical fantasy or time travel (with historically accurate events, the MC is a historian) so great of you prefer historical fiction.
