After the amazing madness that was August I decided to go easy on myself and just try and stick to my Ten book TBR for the month.
EARCS
I have been very fortunate to have been accepted for a number of September releases, I also have an August release that I didn’t manage to squeeze into my N.E.W.Ts TBR.

The Dragon Republic
R.F. Kuang
I received the approval for this arc somewhat last minute (2nd August and it was release the 6th) and I had already set my TBR for the N.E.W.Ts which was jam packed. I tried to pick it up in time but I was so excited by my other reads I just couldn’t put them down. I have been looking forward to this one since I read the first so I am sure to get my review up soon.

The Ten Thousand Doors of January
Alix E. Harrow
You may recognise this from my N.E.W.Ts TBR. I did mange to start it but ran out of time. I got just under 50 pages in and was loving it so far. I will be continuing with it. It’s giving me very strong Every heart a doorway meets The PageMaster vibes which I am loving!

Before the coffee gets cold
Toshikazu Kawaguchi
This was a requestI made on a whim because the premise just sounded so interesting. A strictly ruled time-travelling story that explores the emotional baggage of peoples pasts. It just sounds like it is going to be so beautiful.
The Tea Dragon Festival.
Katie O’Neill
I have been meaning to read the Tea Dragon Society for ages and having the approval for the next instalment both are now on my TBR. I love having a graphic novel of two to dip into throughout the month in between longer reads, and these two look like they will be delightful.
Fairyloot

The Merciful Crow
Margaret Owen
August’s Fairyloot was a highly anticipated read for me. The Fairyloot exclusive version is gorgeous and makes me even more excited after seeing the artwork for this book. I am hoping it will also spark that autumnal feeling a good fantasy does. The nights are drawing in and there is nothing better than a good book on those long nights.
Library Books

Into the Drowning Deep
Mira Grant
This showed up on the shelves of my local library recently, I have been wanting to read it for some time so it just seemed to be fate. Horror is out of my comfort zone but I think this might be a good opening to it.
New REleases

Darkdawn
Jay Kristofer
DARKDAWN!!!!!! I am so looking forward to this book. I even have two copies on pre-order one special edition book box and the other when I go to the launch event in Glasgow!
Free Choice

The Last of August
Brittany Cavallaro
Another one started during the N.E.W.Ts but not finished. I was finding it too slow paced for such and intense readathon so I put it down in favour of a quicker read. I am, however, enjoying this series and will be picking this one back up.

Middle-game
Seanan McGuire
Another leftover form the N.E.W.Ts that I disappointingly didn’t have time for. I may have a few chunky books on this TBR but I am very keen to get to this one.
So that is my TBR for this month. I hope I will end up diving into a few more books as the month unfolds which I will talk about in my wrap up. How is your September TBR looking? What is the book you are most looking forward to? Have you read any of the books on my TBR?
I would love to chat all things bookish with you! You can comment down below or find me on Twitter or Goodreads!
Happy Reading!
