WWW Wednesday – 8/4/2020

Week one of the O.W.Ls is done! And what a great start. We had the magical all nighter at the weekend and I managed to tick off some exams as complete, while making great headway on others. Still a little behind if I am going to finish all 12 prompts but I am clearing some big books out of the way too!

Happy Wednesday!

Its that time of the Week again! WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme that was revived by Taking on a World of Words. I like it cause it is fairly simple but allows me to check in with my reading but also with you!

WWW Wednesday asks just three questions:

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?

WHAT BOOK HAVE YOU RECENTLY FINISHED?

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU WILL READ NEXT?

The Last Emperox
John Scalzi

Series: the Interdependecy #3
eARC

O.W.L: Divination

I am currently about 40% of the way through this book and loving it. This series has such amazing strong female characters that all wield their power in awesomely different ways. I am hoping to finish this in the next couple of days so I can get my review up for its release next week.

The King of Crows
Libba Brey

Series: The Diviners #4
eARC

O.W.L: Care of Magical Creatures

I am 55% of the way through this one and damn is it flying by. These books have always been chunky but they are so action packed that the pages turn so easily. The split up of perspectives in this one makes it alot easier to dip in and out of so it has become my work time book that I pick up on my breaks between video calls. Though it can get real creepy so I am not to fond of reading it late at night.

Summer Frost
Blake Crouch

Series: the Forward collection

O.W.L: Potions

This short story, as part of the sci-fi anthology The Forward Collection, completed my potions owl.It was really interesting, exploring the near future and AI. I hadn’t read Blake Crouch before despite hearing great things and this was a great taster to his work. I shoudl hav ea mini review up shortly.

Goldilocks
Laura Lam

eARC

O.W.L: Astronomy

As I have chosen this to full fill the prompt for Astronomy of reading a book mainly when it is dark and the days are getting longer and longer I need to get to this one soon. I am waiting till I finish The last Emperox before I pick up this one as to not be reading two female MC space operas at once. But once I have I will be diving into this. I want to make sure I can get my review to you before its publication date at the end of the month.

So that is my WWW post for this week. I will see you next Wednesday to update you. What are you reading this week? Have you finished anything lately you loved?

I would love to chat all things bookish with you! You can comment down below or find me on Twitter or Goodreads!

Happy Reading!
