I have decided to take part in the make your myth-taker as it seems like a fun way to read a few books and get through my TBR. It has also Inspired a spark of an idea for a story which I was going to share but the more I noted the more I wrote and its now looking like this might be my Nanowrimo project for this year.
What is Make your Myth-taker?
It is a month long readathon based around prompts that allow you to build your mythological character. It is run by Ashleigh from A Frolic Through Fiction and Charlotte from Booksmark and Vlogging .
It has a super simple set of rules:
• No previous participation in Myth-Take needed
• Minimum of 4 books, ALL formats & genres allowed
• No doubling up
• Complete in order – you have free rein over additional reads
• Your 3rd prompt is your crossover prompt
There are 16 characters to choose from that fall into four categories
• Rouges
• Royal Court
• Sorcerers
• Warriors
Each character has 4 prompts for which the chosen books have to be read in order. However, every third prompt offers the opportunity to switch to another path and finish as a different character.
For all the information check out Ashleigh’s announcement video
My TBR
I have decided to take the path of Royal spy turned Assassin.
Royal Spy prompt 1 – A book you have heard Good things about.
Court life is interesting if you are the court spy, moving amongst the courtiers, royals, servants and scholars reporting all to the spy master. This time my character is trailing a group of Dukes son’s, hoping to pick up on the latest gossip.

The City We Became
N. K. Jemisin
I had this on pre-order and I have been itching to read it as soon as it hit my doormat. I have heard so many good things. This really appeals with its giving magic to New York city and building a mythology for it. I am starting this right now!
Royal Spy Prompt 2 – A book with a Red, purple or Gold cover
The Dukes were speaking about more than just idle court gossip, was that talk of treason? My Character decided to investigate further before reporting to the spy master. She decides to infiltrate the group to learn all that she can of their plans.

The Court of Miricles
Kester Grant
A book abut court politics and revolution are perfect for this prompt. I have been lucky to be granted an eARC of this book. And while the release has been pushed back from the 4th to the 18th I am looking forward to reading it. It seems like it is going to be very interesting.
Crossover Promt – A secret Book
What my spy hears after joining the Dukes in their talk has her curious. She takes on a secret mission to learn more but that information shocks her, changes her very motivation and she returns to court with one single mission in mind. Assassinate the Spy master!
?
This prompt requires you to read a book without revealing the title yet. i know exactly what i will be reading and I cant wait to share it as I know I am going to love it.
Assassin Prompt 4 – A short Read

Artificial Condition
Martha Wells
I loved All Systems Red. I adore Murderbot and am really looking forward to continuing in his story. I cant wait to meet ART and how they contribute to Murderbots story.
That is my characters story and the books I will be reading to get there. If I manage to read these four I will fill in some other character points, possibly some magic?, and talk about them in my wrap up.
Are you taking part? What are you reading, what character are you aiming for? let me know.
I would love to chat all things bookish with you! You can comment down below or find me on Twitter or Goodreads!
