Another week of planning and prepping for NaNoWriMo which is going really well, but also the week I finally broke my reading slump! I have been really struggling to get through books in the last few weeks and haven’t read more than a couple of pages up until this weekend when I finally managed to sit down and read. I am now making my way through my backlog of review books.
Happy Wednesday!
Its that time of the Week again! WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme that was revived by Taking on a World of Words. I like it cause it is fairly simple but allows me to check in with my reading but also with you!
WWW Wednesday asks just three questions:
WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?
WHAT BOOK HAVE YOU RECENTLY FINISHED?
WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU WILL READ NEXT?

Kingdom of the Wicked
Kerri Maniscalco
eARC
One of the ARCs I fell behind on due to my reading slump this book came out on Tuesday. I am just a few chapters away from finishing it and should have my review up for it tomorrow. So far this book is ok. Its pacing is a little odd and there are real lull moments. However the descriptions of food are amazing and really have me craving home cooked Italian food!

Even if We Break
Marieke Nijkamp
I am still in two minds about this book. It is the book that broke my reading slump so I enjoyed it enough to keep reading but I also found it lacking in a lot of ways. It is a really diverse read which is a huge positive but I can’t speak to how good that representation is and occasionally it did feel a little shoehorned in or just surface level while I was reading it. I have a full review discussing what kept me reading vs what left me disappointed here

The Burning God
R. F. Kuang
eARC
I can’t wait any longer and I need to start this eARC even though I know it is going to stomp all over my heart. I am somewhat tempted to re-read the first two books over audio just so I can go straight into this one. I also never actually published my review of the Dragon Republic as it was mostly me rambling incoherently so I will be re-working that into something readable and publishing both around release date. I am really looking forward to seeing how this all plays out as I have really enjoyed this series so far.
So that is my WWW post for this week. I will see you next Wednesday to update you. What are you reading this week? Have you finished anything lately you loved?
I would love to chat all things bookish with you! You can comment down below or find me on Twitter or Goodreads!
Happy Reading!
Enjoy your reading!

I’ve been hearing mixed reviews about Kingdom of the Wicked
My audiobook from the library just became available to me so I’m planning on picking it up soon.
I hope you enjoy The Burning God!
