Yes I am a sucker for punishment and while I have already set a Trope-ical Readathon TBR (Read it here) for this month – there were a few reads from my TBR game, ARC pile and buddy read list that Ic ouldnt fit into the prompts so I have added them here. If any of them have Trope-cal readathon prompts I have cross-referenced them too.

Roll 1 – Green – Netgalley Backlog

This Golden Flame
Emily Victoria
Trope-ical – Team SFF group book
eARC
I didn’t manage to get to it before it was released in early February, so this is perfect timing. Secretive group of scribes, hidden automatons and a fight for power. This sounds like something I will like.
Roll 2 – Blue – Sci-Fi

Exit Strategy
Martha Wells
Murderbot Diaries #4
Trope-ical – AI
A prompt about AI there is only one choice, The Murderbot diaries. I have loved this series so far and I really cant wait to continue (Its probably going to be the first book I pick up, If I am honest). There is just so much heart and soul in these books, they make me smile.
Roll 3 – Purple YA

City of Fallen Angels
Cassandra Clare
Mortal Instruments #4
Shadowhunter Saturday
Tropical – Buddy Read
Ellie, Erika and I are continuing our journey through the Shadowhunter universe. We are finally going back to finish off the Mortal instruments. Its going to be interesting returning to Jace and Clary’s story.
Roll 4 – Pink Fantasy

The Lord of the Rings
J.R.R. Tolkien
The Lord of the Rings
The Write Reads Buddy Reads
Tropical – published before 2000
Continuing with the Lord of the Rings read along with my friends from the write reads. We will be reading book 2 (the second half of The fellowship of the ring) and book 3 (the first half of two towers) during the month of March. I finally made it past Tom Bombadil! and i am super excited to keep going with these sections
Roll 5 – Yellow – Kindle Backlog

The Murders of Molly Southbourne
Tade Thompson
Molly Southborne
I have owned this on my kindle for a good long while but haven’t picked it up even though it sounds amazing. While it doesn’t fit any of the readathon prompts is perfect size to squeeze in one day when I want a quick read.
Roll 6 – Purple YA

An Ember in the Ashes
Sabaa Tahir
An Ember in the Ashes #1
Tropical – Enemies to Lovers
I have been wanting to read this series for ages but never got around to it but my absolutely gorgeous Fairyloot special Editions, so its the perfect excuse to finally pick them up. I know a lot of people that rave about this series and I am really excited to get started

Fire Keeper’s Daughter
Angeline Boulley
Audio ARC
This sounds really fascinating. It is an own voices Native American YA Thriller. I am really interested in diversifying my reading through own voice stories and this have some great reviews already.
ARCs on my Tropical readathon TBR:
This is a re-read for me but as I nominated the books (all graphic novels) for this months buddy read in out chat group I had to dive back into this one with them. Again it may not fit any prompts but it isa quick fun read so I should be able to squeeze it in again.

Moon over Soho
Ben Arronovich
