I have only got a few chapters into this one at the moment but so far I am enjoying it. I am a little worried how all the talk of evolution will go, I have a PhD in evolutionary genetics and it always worries me when books use evolution as their cornerstone of the plot as it usually is erroneous but so far most of the human “evolution” is due to augmentation and not natural, but again the gene augmentation tech also worries me. I will let you know all my thoughts once I have finished.

Truly Devious #4

My Review

I really enjoyed the return of Stevie Bell and the gang. this was such a fun mix of cosy mystery and teen slasher. I loved the 70s vibe, especially all the music references. I would also say this can totally be read as a standalone without spoiling the Truly Devious Trilogy.

This is a collection of short stories from various authors that are also par of the We need Diverse books project. There are some awesome authors on the list including V.E. Schwab, Rebeccan Roanhorse, Tara Sim and Tochi Onyebuchi. I think i might read three of stories a day as there are 15 stories and that would give me time to read them all and write up my review in time for the books release!
