WWW Wednesday – 7/7/21

Happy Wednesday!

Its that time of the Week again! WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme that was revived by Taking on a World of Words. I like it cause it is fairly simple but allows me to check in with my reading but also with you!

WWW Wednesday asks just three questions:

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?

WHAT BOOK HAVE YOU RECENTLY FINISHED?

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU WILL READ NEXT?

Six Crimson Cranes
Elizabeth Lim

Six Crimson Cranes #1

eARC

I am absolutely adoring this book. Right from the beginning it weaves such a detailed and interesting world, with delicate paper magic and dragons, demons and secrets. The writing has such a gorgeous fairy-tale quality, I haven’t been about to put it down as the story develops. I can’t wait to dive back in after work and hopefully review it for you this week.

A Universe of Wishes
A We Need Diverse Books Anthology

My Review

This anthology is jam packed with amazing stories, with diversity of all kinds (as expected) that had me smiling with joy or shedding a tear or two. There is a real mix of Sci-fi and fantasy stories. Some new snippets into well established series, dynamic new retellings and interesting new worlds to explore. I really enjoyed it. I have listed a few of my favourite stories in my Blog post.

The Empire’s Ruin
Brian Staveley

Ashes of the Unhewn Throne #1

Gifted Physical – Bookstagram tour – BlackCrow PR

I have had a sneeky read of the first chapter and I am already hooked. I haven’t read Chronicles of the Unhewn Throne but it seems like this series is easy to get into on its own. It lauched straight into some epic action and some amazing world building. Its a chunky one at 750 pages but so far its been pretty easy to read and I am excited to continue.

So that is my WWW post for this week. I will see you next Wednesday to update you. What are you reading this week? Have you finished anything lately you loved?

I would love to chat all things bookish with you! You can comment down below or find me on Twitter or Goodreads!

Happy Reading!
