WWW Weekly update

Happy Wednesday!

Its that time of the Week again! WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme that was revived by Taking on a World of Words. I like it cause it is fairly simple but allows me to check in with my reading but also with you!

WWW Wednesday asks just three questions:

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?

WHAT BOOK HAVE YOU RECENTLY FINISHED?

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU WILL READ NEXT?

Wow there are soooo many books out this week! I am currently reading a good few of them and they are awesome. I am hoping to review them all for you over the next week or so.

The Dying Squad
Adam Simcox

EARC

We all know by now I love a police procedural with fantasical elements! This is a big yes from me – a detective inspector finds his own body at a crime scene and is tasked by the powers at be in Purgatory to investigate his own Murder. This is really inventive. It reads like a dark and gritty cop show with splashes of whimsy, some really cool world building and some great dark humour. I am really enjoying it and hoping to finish it tonight.

Other books I am reading

The Witness for the Dead
Katherine Addison

The Goblin Emperor #2

Physical ARC

My Review – The Goblin Emperor
The Witness for the Dead

I really enjoyed this one. It is more mystery focused than The Goblin Emperor and it therefore more plot heavy. The writing is just as gorgeous and the worldbuilding is just as intriguing and I found Celehar really personable and interesting character.

A Master of Djinn
P. Djeli Clark

Physical ARC

Another fantastical Investigation – can you tell I love these kinds of books. I cant wait to dive into this one. It has been out in the US for a while but we are getting this gorgeous edition in the UK next month. I was so lucky to get my hands on an ARC and I really cant wait to get started. However I do have my amazing pile of 22nd July releases to finish first!

So that is my WWW post for this week. I will see you next Wednesday to update you. What are you reading this week? Have you finished anything lately you loved?

I would love to chat all things bookish with you! You can comment down below or find me on Twitter or Goodreads!

Happy Reading!
