WWW Wednesday – 28/7/2021

Happy Wednesday!

Its that time of the Week again! WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme that was revived by Taking on a World of Words. I like it cause it is fairly simple but allows me to check in with my reading but also with you!

WWW Wednesday asks just three questions:

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?

WHAT BOOK HAVE YOU RECENTLY FINISHED?

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU WILL READ NEXT?

She Who Became the Sun
Shelley Parker-Chan

The Radient Empire

One of many ARCs I had that released this month all on the same day! I am still trying to work my way through but I am determined to finish this one very soon as I am loving it. I have read the first 5 chapters – see my Friday 5 First Impressions post to see what I thought. I am really enjoying the pace we are getting at the start of the book. We cover years of the Main characters life in a clear and methodical way. I feel we have really got to know the character and the introduction of a new perspective at chapter 5 has really expanded the story. Finishing this is top on my TBR.

Again I started this as part of my Friday 5 – First impressions post as I didn’t have time to finish all the books that came out on the 22nd of July in time for review. This one was just such an enticing read that I had to finish it first. While I loved all the books I started this one stuck in my mind and I had to see how it played out and I wasn’t disappointed. The narration by a morally grey character was fantastic and so much fun to follow. The world building was so detailed with lots of humorous nods to our world. And the plot with its moral discussions was just so interesting. I will have a full review up very soon.

Assassin’s Orbit
John Appel

Physical ARC

Another one on my Friday First Impressions post, and another one I just have to finish. As soon as I finish She Who Became the Sun I will be focusing solely on finishing those one. I am aiming on trying to finish this before the end of the month. It had an amazing first 5 chapters, launching us straight into the action with some really cool worldbuilding too. Its been a while since i read a proper space opera and I cant wait to settle in with this one.

So that is my WWW post for this week. I will see you next Wednesday to update you. What are you reading this week? Have you finished anything lately you loved?

I would love to chat all things bookish with you! You can comment down below or find me on Twitter or Goodreads!

Happy Reading!
