I was lucky to get to review book one, The Midnight Lie, in this series and enjoyed it and the ending really captured my attention. I am so far enjoying this sequel but it did take me a little time to get into. I am hoping to finish it tonight to review for its release date.

I am in the middle of so many books right now, I haven’t finished a book since this time last week so this is still the last book I have finished and now my review is live. I enjoyed this one the writing was beautiful and it was both magical yet with a lovely melancholy to it.

I actually already have a physical copy of this book as a gorgeous hardback edition came in one of my book subscription boxes. This book sounds exactly like my kind of thing! Magical school libraries, cursed books and ink magic all sound like a book I am going to devour!
