The Last Wednesday Check in November it’s nearly time for the Festive season to get into full swing which for me means time off work, catching up on my reading and starting my 2022 ARCs! I cant wait. But for now I am continuing to try and catch up with my November commitments.
Its that time of the Week again! WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme that was revived by Taking on a World of Words. I like it cause it is fairly simple but allows me to check in with my reading but also with you!
WWW Wednesday asks just three questions:
WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?
WHAT BOOK HAVE YOU RECENTLY FINISHED?
WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU WILL READ NEXT?
All of Us Villains
Amanda Foody ~ Christina Lynn Hermann
Still playing catch up with my November ARCs! But I am really loving this one so far. So far I have only just met all the champions in this magical battle to the death and we are getting to know the world they live in. I am really liking the very dark academic vibes I am getting off of this so far and i think its going to be very easy to finish as it is very engaging.
Midnight in Everwood
This is the perfect book for the season but overall I found the plot and character development just a little bit disappointing. I loved the twist on the nutcracker story but I just found a lot of the plot and characters lacked depth in exchange for flowery descriptions of dresses and food. I love a good detailed food description but after a while I would like to feel a bit more connected to the plot and characters instead of purely getting description.
I am a panellist and group leader for this years Book Blogger Novel of the Year Awards! We are in the final round so I have a couple of full books to finish off before I can vote and the winner can be announced. I need to get my skates on for this one as I only have one of my books read. I obviously can’t talk about the books just yet but I will be part of the blog tours for the books in the new year and I can give you all my thoughts.
So that is my WWW post for this week. I will see you next Wednesday to update you. What are you reading this week? Have you finished anything lately you loved?
