This has been a bit of a slump buster for me. I had been finding myself kind of slogging through and not really wanting to read until I started this one on a whim and I just flew through the first 25%. It had such an engaging start and I really cant wait to read more.

I started this on my commute to the office on Monday and I am really enjoying it so far. There is a great style to the main characters voice, some great dark humour and I think this is going to be a really interesting book.

My Review

I am hoping to see the new movie version of this sooner rather than later so I thought I better re-read it beforehand. I really enjoyed this re-read, there is so many layers and red herrings that makes the reveal of who the murder was very exciting.

My review of Book 1

I really enjoyed Book 1 of this series, The Unspoken Name. It was really interesting to follow a non-human protagonist and the world building was really intriguing and details so I am excited to see how the journey trough this world continues.
