Happy Wednesday!
Its that time of the Week again! WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme that was revived by Taking on a World of Words. I like it cause it is fairly simple but allows me to check in with my reading but also with you!
WWW Wednesday asks just three questions:
WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?
WHAT BOOK HAVE YOU RECENTLY FINISHED?
WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU WILL READ NEXT?

The Cartographers
Peng Shepard
eARC

I have nearly finished this and oh is it good. If you have ever spent your time pouring over old maps or love books that contain detailed and beautiful maps of unknown and magical lands this is a book for you. It has so much adventure and tension I cant wait to be finished work so i can finish it.

The Kaiju Preservation Society
John Scalzi
Physical ARC
Release Date: 17/3/2022
Blog Tour: 22/3/2022
AHHHHHHHHH! This is my book of the year so far. Which isn’t much of a surprise. What do you expect when one of my favourite authors writes a book about Kaiju and the covid pandemic! This is just filled with all the humour and social observation I expected from John Scalzi and I loved it. I cant wait till my turn in the blog tour so I can gush more about it.

City of Dusk
Tara Sim
eARC
Release Date: 22//3/2022
I love Tara Sim’s writing and this is promising to be a dark epic fantasy which has been promoted as being queer, gothic, god-filled all of which have big ticks for a book I might enjoy. I am hoping to start this in the next day or so.
So that is my WWW post for this week. I will see you next Wednesday to update you. What are you reading this week? Have you finished anything lately you loved?
I would love to chat all things bookish with you! You can comment down below or find me on Twitter or Goodreads!

I loved City of Dusk and hope that you enjoy it. I’ve seen a couple of good things about Cartographers now so need to look into reading that as I love maps both real and imaginary.

The City of Dusk looks great! Thanks for sharing these and I’m happy I found your blog! I was recently recommended a book called “The Blessing of the Black Wolves” by author JS Murphy. As an avid follower of all things fantasy this book was right up my alley. The main character, Laran, is a captive to a cruel lord. She is kept as a slave until circumstance pairs her with a young, handsome nobleman, Sheftu, who vows to save her. What follows is a journey that takes you through twists and turns with these two characters and a will they won’t they tension (which I love). There is an amazing sense of place and character development which keeps you reading until the very end. If you are a fan of fantasy with a touch of romance, this one is a must read. The sequel just came out too! Definitely add this series to your reading list: https://www.jsmurphy.ca
