State of the ARC TBR

State of The ARC – July TBR

For 2022 I have started a new series TBR posts and Challenges, one of which is my State of the ARC posts. I will do two posts a month; a State of the ARC TBR post and a State of the ARC Wrap up post.

These State of the ARC posts are to keep me accountable on all the ARCs I am so privileged to receive. I want to get that Netgalley rating back up to the coveted 80% as well as tell you all about some of the amazing books that are coming out each month.

This post covers my July 2022 ARCs that I want to try and read this month and tell you a little bit about each one as well as there release date etc. That way you can help keep me accountable as well as potentially looking out for new additions to your own TBR.

I utterly failed in my June ARCs ending up down a huge Mystery/Crime/Thriller binge. However, this month I have joined a number of friends in a Netgalley Readathon so we can start clearing our backlog.

Net Galley Percentage

My Netgalley Percentage Current stands at:

56 %

I have only 2 ARCs that are out in July. My aim is to read 11 books from my list this month. This is because as long as I don’t get approved for any more I will finally get my percentage over 60%. I would also like to focus on those that I now own physical copies for so I have gone through my list and picked out some books that I have both n my physical and Netgalley TBRs So I can attempt to clear them. I don’t know if I will be able to read all of them but any dent in the pile would be good.

And he took the chance no matter the cost.
Now in London twenty-two years later, Peter Pan’s monster has found Captain Hook again, intent on revenge. But a chance encounter leads James to another survivor of Neverland. About the book:

“Come home.” Vera’s mother called and Vera obeyed. In spite of their long estrangement, in spite of the memories — she’s come back to the home of a serial killer. Back to face the love she had for her father and the bodies he buried there.
Coming home is hard enough for Vera, and to make things worse, she and her mother aren’t alone. A parasitic artist has moved into the guest house out back, and is slowly stripping Vera’s childhood for spare parts. He insists that he isn’t the one leaving notes around the house in her father’s handwriting… but who else could it possibly be?
