WWW Wednesday – 13/7/22

Happy Wednesday!

Its that time of the Week again! WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme that was revived by Taking on a World of Words. I like it cause it is fairly simple but allows me to check in with my reading but also with you!

WWW Wednesday asks just three questions:

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?

WHAT BOOK HAVE YOU RECENTLY FINISHED?

I am just focusing on my Current reads for this week. I have managed to read a lot this week, however it was for Book Blogger Novel of the Year

Her Majesty’s Royal Coven
Juno Dawson

AudioARC

I am in love with this book. From the first page I knew it was for me as it had such call backs to my childhood that I connected with but then as the story has developed we are getting such a complex and interesting magical world that just is fantastic. I am very close to finishing it and will have my review up soon.

The Thief
Megan Whalen Turner

eARC

I started this in May and was loving it, but then June came along and my mood sent me into a mystery thriller mood and that is all I read. I was really enjoying this so I want to get back to it and finish it. I am 40% of the way through and I am hoping I can pick it back up pretty easily.

Soulless
Gail Carriger

The Parasol Protectorate #1

I have just finished outlining my own Urban fantasy. I am turning back to reading urban fantasies again as I am wanting to get the timing and the rhythm of these books . I have had this series sitting on my shelf for a while so I have picked it up. I am really reading this with an analytical eye of when the beats hit, when the punches are thrown and the twists come in as its those timings I want to get right with my own work.

So that is my WWW post for this week. I will see you next Wednesday to update you. What are you reading this week? Have you finished anything lately you loved?

I would love to chat all things bookish with you! You can comment down below or find me on Twitter or Goodreads!

Happy Reading!
