Happy Wednesday!

Its that time of the Week again! WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme that was revived by Taking on a World of Words. I like it cause it is fairly simple but allows me to check in with my reading but also with you!

WWW Wednesday asks just three questions:

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?

WHAT BOOK HAVE YOU RECENTLY FINISHED?

I took a bit of an unscheduled break as after managing to avoid it for 2 years covid finally caught up with me. It really messed with my overall health, activating some of my chronic condition which made it harder to cope with and I am still trying to get back to normal. It also means I have not really been reading or writing as I just haven’t had the mental capacity to. I am just getting back into the swing of things now so hopefully I can push through and finish a book or two.

With Fire in Their Blood

Blog Tour

My Blog tour date for this is tomorrow. I went into it somewhat blind not really sure what to expect from the paranormal romance but so far its really interesting. Occasionally it is a little convenient and skips over plot points that I feel could use a lot more explanation. However, I am really enjoying it. It is very different from anything I have read before and that makes it really interesting.

My Review

I both enjoyed this book and found it a little disappointing as it didn’t quite hit the satisfying murder mystery vibe I was looking for. As I said in my review there felt like there was a lot of unnecessary focus on the main characters pregnancy when the pregnancy itself really didn’t play into the plot so it felt we were carted along to Drs appointment etc for no reason which made those sections boring. When we got into the mystery it was interesting and entertaining.

The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy

This feels like it is going to be such a fun read. A Shop Around the Corner retelling. Most people don’t know that You’ve got mail is actually a remake of a James Stewart movie. A shop around the Corner is just such a sweet Black and white movie and from what I have read of this already it seems to have captured the same sassy nature of the characters but in a really interesting and unique setting. I can’t wait to continue with it.

So that is my WWW post for this week. I will see you next Wednesday to update you. What are you reading this week? Have you finished anything lately you loved?

I would love to chat all things bookish with you! You can comment down below or find me on Twitter or Goodreads!

Happy Reading!
