From Goodreads:

Every ninety years, twelve gods incarnate as humans. They are loved. They are hated. In two years, they are dead. The team behind critical tongue-attractors like Young Avengers and PHONOGRAM reunite to create a world where gods are the ultimate pop stars and pop stars are the ultimate gods. But remember: just because you’re immortal, doesn’t mean you’re going to live forever. Collects THE WICKED + THE DIVINE #1-5

My Thoughts

To try and get myself back into reading I decided to dive into some graphic novels that have been sitting on my TBR for far too long. I know I am late to the game on this one but I really enjoyed it.

It had an amazing concept. I thought it was delivered in a really clear manner that pulled me in really quickly. The mini arc of this volume was a little more confusing. I felt some panels got a bit to wordy and a little confusing. I adored the central characters and was saddened by the outcome of one as I really wanted more of that character.

The art is just beyond stunning. Every panel was just gorgeous. There were just so many beautiful and gorgeous details that made this a real pleasure to read.

I would love to chat all things bookish with you! You can comment down below or find me on Twitter or Goodreads!

Happy Reading!
