Another super busy week so not much has changed. I was out of town for a large chunk of the week and I only took one book with me as I knew I wasn’t going to have a lot of time to read
Happy Wednesday!
However, to start, its that time of the Week again! WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme that was revived by Taking on a World of Words. I like it cause it is fairly simple but allows me to check in with my reading but also with you!
WWW Wednesday asks just three questions:
WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?
WHAT BOOK HAVE YOU RECENTLY FINISHED?
WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU WILL READ NEXT?

The Murder Game
Tom Hindle
eARC
About the book:
One house. Nine guests. Endless motives for murder…
In the seaside town of Hamlet Wick, nine guests assemble for a New Year’s Eve party to remember.
The owner of Hamlet Hall has organised a murder mystery evening with a 1920s twist, and everyone has their own part to play.
But the game has barely begun when one guest is found dead – killed by a fatal injury to the head.
With no phone signal and no way out of the house, the others are trapped with a killer in their midst.
Someone is playing by their own rules. And in a close-knit community, old rivalries run deep…
My Thoughts:
Yes I am still reading this one and yes I am still not very far into it. However, I am liking the modern twist to the classic mystery and I am really liking all the details we are learning about each of the guests. So much is going on.

The Secret of Chimneys
Agatha Christie
Agatha Christie Project
About the book:
What is The Secret of Chimneys? A young drifter finds out when a favor for a friend pulls him into the heart of a deadly conspiracy in this captivating classic from Agatha Christie. Little did Anthony Cade suspect that an errand for a friend would place him at the center of a deadly conspiracy. Drawn into a web of intrigue, he begins to realize that the simple favor has placed him in serious danger. As events unfold, the combined forces of Scotland Yard and the French Sûreté gradually converge on Chimneys, the great country estate that hides an amazing secret.
My Thoughts:
I went to see the Mousetrap (More about that later this week) last weekend and this was the perfect accompaniment to a Christie filled weekend. I enjoyed this one, despite seeing a couple of the reveals coming, which is unusual for a Christie read. It was very different from the Poirot and the Marple mysteries which was fun. I will have my review up shortly.

Release Date: 16/2/2023
About the book:
A dance with the fae will change everything
1919. In a highland village forgotten by the world, harvest season is over and the young who remain after war and flu have ravaged the village will soon head south to make something of themselves.
Moira Jean and her friends head to the forest for a last night of laughter before parting ways. Moira Jean is being left behind. She had plans to leave once – but her lover died in France and with him, her future. The friends light a fire, sing and dance. But with every twirl about the flames, strange new dancers thread between them, music streaming from the trees.
The fae are here.
Suddenly Moira Jean finds herself all alone, her friends spirited away. The iron medal of her lost love, pinned to her dress, protected her from magic.
For the Fae feel forgotten too. Lead by the darkly handsome Lord of the Fae, they are out to make themselves known once more. Moira Jean must enter into a bargain with the Lord to save her friends – and fast, for the longer one spends with the Fae, the less like themselves they are upon return. If Moira Jean cannot save her friends before Beltine, they will be lost forever…
Completely bewitching, threaded with Highland charm and sparkling with dark romance, this is a fairytale that will carry you away.
My Thoughts:
I have read the first few pages of this but have not fully dove into reading it. I like what I have read so far and I am keen to keep going.
