As you have seen before I am a big planner, I have shown pictures of my bullet journal before. Therefore, when a planning based tag popped up in my feed I had to do it.
Questions:
1.) Pay day! -A book you would buy right now. Cost doesn’t matter!
The re-releses Rivers of London paperbacks
Ben Aaronovitch
I have taken to annotating my books and I would truly love to have a consistent set of my favourite series to scribble all over with all my thoughts and feelings. These new editions are so pretty and matching, but they would be a frivolous purchase as I already have copies of all of the books.
2.) Pay a bill A book you would get rid of right now.
Harry potter and the Cursed Child
John Tiffiany, Jack Thorne and J.K Rowling
I don’t really have anything on my shelf I am not interested in. Therefore I choose one I would rather wasn’t part of the Potter Canon. Honestly, while I love Harry Potter I do wish Rowling would stop messing with it
3.) Doctor appointment -a book that makes you feel better when you are down.
The Night Circus
Erin Morgenstern
This has to be one of my favourite books of all time, it is so atmospheric, beautiful and magical and wither I am re-reading or listening to the audio-book for the millionth time i just love being absorbed into that world.
4.) Meeting – a book or series you felt obligated to read because of the hype.
A Court of Thorns and Roses
Sarah J. Maas
I tried it. I didn’t get the hype. I wont be continuing.
5.) Lunch date a book or series that you feel in love with because a friend recommended it to you.
Old Man’s War
John Scalzi
It wasn’t even a friend, I friend of an ex-boyfriend lent me his copy and I instantly loved it that purchased them all on my kindle, I even got books 5 and 6 in their serialised versions as I needed to read them there and then.
6.) Work/school week a book that was hard to get through.
Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell
Susanna Clarke
I haven’t finished this yet, even with the audio-book I was struggling. I want to get to the interesting parts I just haven’t got their yet.
7.) Gym day a book that gets your heart pumping because it was such an exciting page turner.
The seven deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle
Stuart Turton
This is by far one of my favourite books of the year. I couldn’t put it down. I just needed to know who did it, how and why.
8.) Date night a book with your favourite romantic couple
Cia and Tomas – The Testing Trilogy
Joelle Charbonneau
I am going old school and obscure but I loved this couple, they were so sweet and accepting of each other. Respectful of each others life decisions etc etc. I just really liked them.
9.) Vacation a book or series you would want to binge on if you had all the time in the world.
The Realm of the Elderlings
Robin Hobb
I will read these one day, I just need the time!
10.) To Do List – A book that you keep meaning to get to but don’t have the time for.
The Queens of Innes Lear
Tessa Gratton
I started this during a readathon and realised almost immediately that it needed to be given time to absorb it. Therefore, it went back on the shelf. Maybe it should go back on my TBR for my next holiday from work.
What are you planning to read?
I tag you!
Happy Reading!
