It’s almost February and despite it being the shortest month of the year I have a fairly Chucky TBR. I am taking part in a Readthon, a readalong and then my own TBR game. All within 29 days. I am putting that leap year day to good use. (I am also thinking of running a leap year 24 hour readathon, let me know if you are interested in joining in).
This month I am participating in the Polarathon readathon which runs from the 3rd to the 9th. My full TBR post will go live on Feb 2nd so look out for that but there are a few sneak peaks in this post, where some reads overlap with my own TBR game.
For those that haven’t seen my TBR game before you can read the full rules here in my January TBR post
February TBR
What I am Reading

YA FANTASY
Northern Lights
Philip Pullman
The first sneak peak of my Polarathon TBR and it will also be a re-read for me. I have recently watched the BBC series and I just had to pick the book back up again. It has been so long since I have read them. I also want to get to the prequel series but would love to remind myself of this one first.

YA FANTASY
A Shiver of Snow and Sky
Lisa Lueddecke
The second peak at my Polarathon TBR I have had this one on my shelf for some time after it was recommended by my local bookseller. It was a bit of an impulse purchase that I then didn’t pick up. I needed a book with a snowy setting so this seemed perfect!

FANTASY
Darkdawn
Jay Kristoff
I have two stop putting this off. It just need to read it. I know I will love it. It has been on so many TBRs i just need to suck it up and read it!!!!!

SCI-FI
No Time Like the Past
Jodi Taylor
I have been powering through this series and with the 11 due out later this year (see my post most anticipated for Q1 2020) I better get a move on as this is only book 5 and there are also 12 short stories to read too!

SCI-FI
All Systems Red
Martha Wells
I really have wanted to read this series for a long time and for Christmas I got the first in the series. Again the next in the series is due out very soon and I would like to get up to date in time for book 5.

MYSTERY
And Then There Were None
Agatha Christie
This is me going easy on myself a little. My buddy read group Talks&ThoughtsBookClub (#TnTBC) choose this as their February read. This is one of my favourite Christies and I have read it multiple times so this should be a quick and easy re-read. I am excited to get to discuss it with everyone.
ARCs
I have a couple of ARCs on my TBR too that I need to get to. I couple I have started already butI need to finish them in February.

Paris Adrift
E.J Swift
Release Date: 6/2/2020
This is the paperback release of E. J. Swifts debut novel. The tag line of the Time machine in Paris just captured my imagination. I got a bit of a good night sweetheart vibe from the blurb of the crossing of living lives both in modern times but also the past. All set around the area of Montmartre. I love a good time travel book lets hope it lives up to its blurb.

The Last Smile in Sunder City
Luke Arnold
Release Date : 6/2/2020
We know I am a sucker for Urban Fantasy Police procedurals. And this one sounds just up my ally with magic going missing and a surly P.I protagonist. What makes this extra interesting is this is the debut of Black Sails actor Luke Arnold. I never know what to make of celeb books, it will be interesting to see where this one goes.

Wilder Girls
Rory Power
Release Date: 6/2/2020
This has been out in the US for a while now but we are finally getting an official release here in the UK. This has been on my TBR for a while as it just sounds so interesting. YA sci-fi/Mystery is such a rare combination and I am really looking forward to reading it.
READALONGs

I am joining in the COSMEREALONG! While I will do a full post closer to the start I will be joining in this readalong which aims to read its way through Brandon Sanderson Cosmere. In Feb and March the group are reading Elantris. With Parts 1 and 2 to be read in February
Oh its a big TBR! With three more books on my Polarathon TBR I am hoping to finish 12 and a half books in the 29 days. I will have to keep my fingers crossed.
If you would like me to set up a leap year 24 hour readathon let me know.
Are you particip[ating in and readathons in Feb? Are you joining in on the COSMEREALONG? I would love to chat all things bookish with you! You can comment down below or find me on Twitter or Goodreads!
Happy Reading!
