October TBR

Ahh Its nearly October! That means November is getting closer and closer and that means its time to start planning what I want to attempt for NaNoWriMo! I am so excited for NaNoWriMo this year and will be spending the whole of October preparing and researching, writing character profiles and honing my Outline so all I will have to do is write when it comes to November. If you are interested in some posts on my planning methods etc just leave a comment.

As I am participating in Prep-tober I am keeping my TBR purposely low only reading my ARCs, book club reads and buddy reads. This should give me lots of time for researching planning and prepping for Nanowrimo!

I do have a couple of books I am finishing off hopefully in the next couple of days but will most likely spill into October including finishing the ARC copies of the following:

My Blog Tour Date for The Thursday Murderclub is on the 3rd of October and I should have my reviews for Booksellers of London and To Sleep in a sea of stars up very shortly.

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue
V.E. Schwab

eARC

I have started this and I am absolutely loving it but I know I am not going to finish it in the next couple of days so I have included it in this TBR. I could have screamed when I got approved for the eARC of this much anticipated read. I really have been looking forward to this one, V.E. Schwab has been talking about this for some time and it just sounds so interesting!

The Once and Future Witches
Alix E. Harrow

eARC

Another Arc I have started but I know I won’t have time to finish before September ends. The witchy vibes of of this one is just perfect and I do think if I have time I might need to find some other witchy books to read in October. I know already that I am loving this one and should have my review up close to review

Kingdom of the Wicked
Kerri Maniscalco

eARC

Oh this sound really interesting and perfect for the time of year! I havent read any of Maniscalco’s work before but I have heard good things and I am interested to dive in. This isn’t due till later in the month so this will give me plenty of time read it (hopefully).

I do like the sound of a murder mystery that leads to actual Hell, and the fact it is set in Sicily also peaks my interest.

Clockwork Princess
Cassandra Clare

The Infernal Devices #3

Shadowhunters Saturday

Due to unforeseen circumstances in my family life, causing me to take my short hiatus last week, and Ellie starting back at uni we decided to push back our next Shadowhunter Saturday so we could take some time to enjoy the book instead of rushing though it. We should be holding out next discussion mid to late October depending on our other commitments.

Dragon Pearl
Yoon Ha Lee

Middle Grade Marvels Book Club

The random choice and vote for October was run last week and the group picked to read Dragon Pearl by Yoon Ha Lee part of the Rick Riordan presents series. I have to admit I am going into this blind but as MGM has yet to steer me wrong I think I might enjoy this one.

So That is my rather short TBR for October. I might add a couple of more spooky books on the run up to Halloween or maybe some books on writing craft if I find myself stuck during planning but I like that this TBR is a lot more relaxed to give me time to think about writing!

Are you planning on participating in NaNoWriMo and Prep-tober? How are you preparing.

I would love to chat all things bookish with you! You can comment down below or find me on Twitter or Goodreads!

Happy Reading!
