WWW Wednesday – 31/3/21

Happy Wednesday!

Its that time of the Week again! WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme that was revived by Taking on a World of Words. I like it cause it is fairly simple but allows me to check in with my reading but also with you!

WWW Wednesday asks just three questions:

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?

WHAT BOOK HAVE YOU RECENTLY FINISHED?

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU WILL READ NEXT?

The Shadow in the Glass
J. J. A Harwood

eARC

I am only a few chapters away from finishing this one and I am not completely sure how I feel about it yet. I am somewhat enjoying it. There are some real interesting concepts and I like the idea of the darker retelling of Cinderella mixed with Faustus but there are a lot of tangents and repetitive elements that have been distracting. I will see how this wraps up and decide from there

What Beauty there is
Cory Anderson

My Review

I was so lucky to be part of The Write Reads Ultimate blog tour for this one. It is one of those ones I was a little torn about. I both enjoyed it and felt it fell a little flat in places so overall gave it a somewhat middling review. Its a very beautifully written yet dark book and I think a lot of people will enjoy it, it just didn’t tick all the boxes for me. Make sure you check trigger warnings on this one if you need them.

The Murders of Molly Southbourne
Tade Thompson

I don’t usually like starting something new so close to the end of the month as I like starting each month fresh with a new book. However If I finish The Shadow in the Glass tonight (which is highly likely) I might see if I can squeeze this one in. Its only 128 pages and it should take me a couple of hours to read. I have been meaning to pick up a Tade Thompson book for a while so this is the perfect opportunity.

So that is my WWW post for this week. I will see you next Wednesday to update you. What are you reading this week? Have you finished anything lately you loved?

I would love to chat all things bookish with you! You can comment down below or find me on Twitter or Goodreads!

Happy Reading!
