Its that time of the month again. With only four days left in April it time to tally up all the ARCs, Blog Tours, book club picks and Buddy reads so I can tell you guys what I plan on reading and talking about next month. I was in a bit of a reading slump at the beginning of April and I decided to drop my TBR game and just read what I want to. I think I am going to continue this into May. While I have a number of ARCs and Blog Tours I am excited for I am not going to set any backlist books on my TBR this month allowing me to mood read a little more.

I have three set Blog tour dates for books this month one with The Write Reads, one with Black Crow PR and the thrid is collaboration between both. I have listed the dates my posts are due to go live for you to keep an eye out for those posts

Physical ARC

I have actually started reading this one and I am enjoying it so far but I do have to note that while I am excited by and can relate to the Chronic illness rep so can comment on that, I have heard criticism of the author’s depiction of South Asian Culture which I am not able to comment on the accuracy of.

Things to do before the End of the World

The Write Reads Blog Tours
My post – 5th May 2021

This will most likely be my next read. I unfortunately have heard a few mixed reviews of this one not quiet living up to expectations. Here is hoping I will enjoy it, it seems like it has the potential to be a fun read if the thriller aspects are done right.

Shards of Earth
Adrian Tchaikovsky

My Post 19th May 2021

I cannot be more excited for this one. After attending a virtual event and hearing Tchaikovsky read a section I am eager to dive in this one is a little chucky at 560 pages so I might have to start it sooner rather than later.

I have a good few more ARCs for May that I am going to try and read and review as close to release as possible, I a, really excited for most of these and others have me very curious. A couple I have already dived into and started.

Broken Homes

Thoughts while reading – Rivers of London

Continuing both my buddy read and my personal blog project of re-reading the Rivers of London series we are on to book 4! I remember excitingly diving into book four the first time I read it and then the many times I have re-read it since. I am looking forward to finding out what everyone else thinks and posting my own thoughts in my Friday at the Folly posts. My Friday at the Folly for Whispers underground should be live this Friday!

The Return of the King
J.R.R Tolkein

The Lord of the Rings #3

Conquer the Classics

I am loving buddy reading these books it has made them such an enjoyable experience and it looks like I am finally going to be able to tick these books off my TBR! I liked the little cliff-hanger we got from Two Towers so I am itching to start this one!

  1. I share so many of these books with you. xD I’m just starting Shadow of the Gods (which is CHUNKY and will probably take a minute to read), but it’s really good so far. I’m on the two TWR tours, too, and I’m really looking forward to reading them both! Hope you enjoy your May reads. πŸ™‚
