This is a new series set in the same world as Garber’s Caravel series and it has very much the same vibe. We even have some familiar faces popping up and if you loved Jacks then you are going to love this one. It takes place at the tail end and then after the last book of the Caraval series so it does contain spoiler if you haven’t read that one yet. Also it skips a good bit of worldbuilding because of that series so not a good starting point for new readers. So far it has been really fun read and I don’t have much more to go before I finish it so my review will be up shortly.

I was really fortunate last week to be granted access to the Audio copy of this book in exchange for review. I will have my full review up shortly. I really enjoyed Book 1 in this series and while not as fast paced as the first instalment this book is still a fun read overall.

I have actually started this book but have yet to finish it so I am hopefully going to squeeze it in before the month is over. I am really loving Christina Henry’s twists on this one so far. There is a great balance between the original tales and her stories layered over the top that just make this such a compelling read. I can’t wait to continue I think this is going to be a great book for peoples autumn spooky book lists.
