Netgalley November TBR

As I have changed my plans for Nanowrimo (I will talk about them in a post later in the week) I will have more time for reading and I thought I would join in on a readathon.

I have decided to Join Netgalley November to try and clear some of my Netgalley backlog before I start reading my ARCs for next year in December. Netgalley November Readathon was started last year by Emandherbooks and Lisa Lou from Tot and Tales and focuses on getting closer to that elusive 80% by spending a month focusing on all those backlog ARCs you haven’t finished!

Starting Stats

I have decided to separate my November/December 2021 and my 2022 ARCs from this readathon – (my November ARCs will be on my November TBR Post which will be live on Saturday 30th October) And focus on getting as many back list reads. So I am doing some fancy math to work out what my percentage is if I exclude those books.

My current percentage with the Nov/ and 2022 books included is 53% with 114 unread books on my shelf. 22 of those books have release dates in November and December 2021 or 2020. Lets take it for granted that I am going to read all of those books over November, December and beyond so we can add them to my read shelf for the time being giving me 92 books left unread. To reach the elusive 80% I would need to read 44 of those books which just isn’t possible. But I think I can read about 10 of them. If I do read those 10 books it would take my percentage to 65% which is a start (if I read all 22 of the future list too, which is my aim for the end of the year).

Hopefully you followed that fancy math?!? If not the take away is I am hoping to reach 65% reading percentage by the end of 2021 and I am aiming to read 10 back list ARCs this November.

My Backlist ARC TBR

ARCS I have already started and need to finish:

The Hollow Heart by Marie Rutkoski
She who became the Sun by Shelly Parker-Chan
Seven Deaths of an Empire by G.R Matthews
The Forest of Stars by Heather Kassner
The Shadow Of the Gods by John Gwynne

Backlists I haven’t gotten to yet:

The Shadows of London by Nick Jones ( I loved Book 1!)
The Wolf and the Woodsman by Ava Reid ( I have this on Audio)
Shadowghast by Thomas Taylor ( A middlegrade series that I have loved so far)
The Maleficent Seven by Cameron Johnston
The Desert Prince by Peter v. Brett

So those are the ten back logged ARCs I am hoping to clear off my list as part of Netgalley November.

I would love to chat all things bookish with you! You can comment down below or find me on Twitter or Goodreads!

Happy Reading!

  1. Good luck reaching your NetGalley goals. I have worked on mine gradually this year and currently sit at 79% with only a dozen or so left to read. I usually get close and go on a request spree! Do you do that too?
