WWW Wednesday – 22/12/21

Happy Wednesday!

Only 3 Days left till Christmas and I get to get excited about all the bookish gifts under the Tree. I am off work this week and despite the mound of preparation for Christmas dinner and all the wrapping of presents that needs to be done. I am hoping to just sit and read as much a possible. Maybe even crack into so January 2022 ARCs!

Its that time of the Week again! WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme that was revived by Taking on a World of Words. I like it cause it is fairly simple but allows me to check in with my reading but also with you!

I was way behind on starting this but I am really enjoying now that I have managed to make time for it. I have both a physical copy and an audio copy so I have been able to flick back and forth and continue reading while preparing the house for Christmas. I am enjoying the world building and all the eastern European folklore but I am finding the over all plot a little dull. it is a straightforward enemies to lovers plot at my current position and it isn’t working for me.

This is such a fantastic take on the Hades and Persephone story so far. The Art work is just stunning so stylized and with a gorgeous colour palate. I really enjoyed the modernization of the characters while still keeping the mythology clearly in mind. I will have a review up for it shortly n(possibly after Christmas)

I am suffering a bit from being overwhelmed by choice. There are a number of books I can pick up next I have some amazing January 2022 Arcs screaming at me from my Kindle. I have some 2021 read I haven’t manage to get to yet, and I just don’t know what to pick from the stack. I am thinking focusing on 2021 reads up until Christmas then my 2022 reads after Christmas might be the way to go what do you think?
