Tis The Season-athon TBR

The start of December signifies the time to get festive! The Christmas Markets here in Edinburgh are in full swing, trees are cropping up in windows, their lights twinkling and I am ready to snuggle up with hot chocolate and my book and get in the spirit of the winter season.

The Tis the season readathon is the perfect for setting the mood for the festive period. It runs from

the 3rd to the 9th of December

and has five reading challenges, a group book and Instagram challenges. All the information on the hosts can be found at the readathon’s Twitter

READING CHALLENGES

MY TBR

I will not be reading the group book as it is not my cup of tea but I will be attempting all the others.

Red or Green on the Cover:

37546906

Ace of Shades
Amanda Foody

While not a festive read, this is on my list that need to be finished before the end of the year as it was part of a try a chapter i did early in the year and I never got around to finishing it. I have this on audio so will be listening to this while working.

A Warm and Fuzzy Read:

38352645

Nevermoor: The Trails of Morrigan Crow
Jessica Townsend

I have heard lots of lovely things about this MG novel and I have been keen to pick it up. I am sure it will have lots of warm and fuzzy feelings.

Read a Short book and Read a book while listening to holiday music:

35568164

A Christmas Carol
Charles Dickens

I will be putting my Christmas tree up on the 8th and I can think of no better way to read this 125pg Christmas book than is by the twinkling light of the tree, with a crackling fireplace and soft Carol music playing. I have never read this classic before and while I know the story well I am glad to be finally getting back to the original work (though I will have to watch the Muppets version at some point).

Read a Holiday themed book

33843251

The Afterlife of Holly Chase
Cynthia Hand

Sticking with the A Christmas Carol theme. I think the main character being the Ghost of Christmas past classes this as a Holiday themed book.

If I do somehow manage to get through all these I also have another book on back up which I love to reread in this time of year and that is:

7806720

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
C.S Lewis

The snowy wintry feeling from this book is lovely, especially when curled up with a hot chocolate. It has been some years since I have read the book so I would love to fit it in.

Are you participating in this readathon? If so what is on your TBR?

Have you read any of these books? I would love to chat all things bookish in the Comments or on my Twitter or Goodreads.

Happy Reading and Seasons Greetings.
