With 2018 drawing to a close it is time to take stock of the year and I have finally sat down with all my 5 star reads to narrow down my favourites. I have decided to dedicate this last week of 2018 to re-reading (I got the Lunar chronicles for Christmas which I had previously only borrowed from the library in late 2017 so I am keen to re-read them). Therefore, I don’t think there will be a last minute runaway so this is most likely the final list.
These are purely my favourite reads in these categories, while some are 2018 releases most are just books that were new to me in 2018 and the ones I enjoyed the most. I have also included a couple of special mentions where I had a hard time choosing between a couple of books in that category. I usually chose the new to me author as the winner in that category over my more established auto-buy authors to vary my choices a little.
So here are my favourite reads of 2018!
