March already and I am really pleased with how my TBR game is going. Last month I did quite well and read all but one of the books on my set TBR. The rules state that if I don’t finish the book I have to add it on to the next months TBR. So the first book on my TBR is :

FANTASY
Darkdawn
Jay Kristoff
I have to stop putting this off. It just need to read it. I know I will love it. It has been on so many TBRs I just need to suck it up and read it!!!!! I just dont know why I am scared to read it , I think i don‘t want it to end.
For those that haven’t seen my TBR game before you can read the full rules here in my January TBR post.
At the moment The only readathon I am planning on doing is a weekend round of The Bookie Trials at the end of the month so I will have my official TBR for that up before the 28th of March. It will most likely contain one or two of these reads.
March TBR
What I am Reading

YA FANTASY
The Near Witch
V.E Schwab
This will be a re-read for me, but if i am honest it has been 3 years since I have read it and I can’t remember what happened. I also have the other two in the series on my shelves so hopefully i can finish them before the fourth comes out.

FANTASY
Assassin’s Apprentice
Robin Hobb
March is the Start of the Elderlingalong! Where the Book community are endeavouring to read all 16 books in Hobb’s Elderling universe. I have read this one before but it was many years ago. I got half way through the 2nd book before I just sort of drifted away from it so I am hoping I can finally finish this series.

YA SCI-FI
Red Rising
Pierce Brown
Another one that has been on my shelves for a while that I am sure I will enjoy but I have just never picked up. I think it is about time I do so.

SCI-FI
Head on
John Scalzi
It has been far too long since I picked up a Scalzi but still seems like a long wait until the last in his Interdependecy series is release in April. So to tide me over I am going to pick up head on, the sequels to Lock in.

MYSTERY
Never World Wake
Marissa Pessl
I have been in the mood for a good YA mystery. I was hoping to get my hands on the Hand on the Wall by Maureen Johnson but my pre-order has been delayed. So I dived into my shelves and found this one within my mysteries. It sounds exactly about what I want.

GRAPHIC NOVEL/OTHER
Shades of Magic Vol 2: Night of Knives
V.E Schwab
I enjoyed the first in this series and I have been interested to continue. It also gives me a nice quick read in a month of lots of eARCs and big books on my TBR.
ARCS

The Midnight Lie
Marie Rutkoski
Release Date: 3/3/20
Oh this one sounds so interesting. I probably have already started it when this post goes live but I am hoping to finish it early in the month and get my review to you.

There will come a Darkness
Katy Rose Pool
UK Release: 5/3/20
This was released in the US a while ago and I have been eagerly wanting to read it. It has rave reviews! Including from one of my favorite authors. So I have high hopes for this one.

Winterborne Home for Vengeance and Valour
Ally Carter
Release Date: 5/3/20
This seems like a super fun Middle grade mystery. I really enjoy delving into a middle grade now and again and I am hoping I will enjoy this one.

Sixteenth Watch
Make Cole
Release Date 10/3/20
I havent read any Myke Cole before but have been dry tempted. This seems like it might be a great introduction. If focuses around the coast guard but in space! It also appears to have an older female protagonist.

The Glass Hotel
Emily St John Mandel
Release Date: 24/3/20
I really enjoy Emily St. John Mandel’s writing and I am hoping this new one is just as entertaining. The Glass Hotel is blurbed to be focused around Ponzi schemes, financial crimes, with interlinking storylines, all of which sounds right in my wheelhouse.
Oh geez I have a LOT to read next month. Not forgetting the two eARCs I am currently reading/Currently behind on. And I still have parts of Elantris to finish for the Corsmerealong. It’s going to be a busy one
I would love to chat all things bookish with you! You can comment down below or find me on Twitter or Goodreads!
Happy Reading!
Happy reading, Fi! The Glass Hotel sounds an intriguing one.
