My 2021 5 Star Reads

Its the time of the year where we start reflecting back on the year that is coming to an end and for book bloggers that means assessing all the books we have read over the course of the year. I will be doing a full year end wrap up in a couple of days but I wanted to do a post that celebrated all my favourite reads of the year.

I have had a HUGE amount of 5 star reads this year, too many to discuss every single one in this post, so using my ESCAPE scoring system I have listed my favourite reads of the year. I have also included all my 5 star Mini Review reads.

My Top Reads by ESCAPE Score

I have arranged these first by ESCAPE Score with the Highest rated at the top moving to my lower scoring 5 Star reads. For those with the same score I have ordered them by date read. With the most recently read books first going back in time.

My mini review 5 star reads

These are all the books I gave 5 stars but did not use my ESCAPE Score for reviewing. I class these as Mini Reviews, they tend to be novellas, re-reads or graphic novels. They are listed by Date read from most recent to the beginning of 2021.

As you can see it has been a massive year for Five Star reads! Yes a lot of them were re-reads of favourites, novellas from favourite series etc., But there was also a number of new to me authors that I will be seeking more out from now!

I would love to chat all things bookish with you! You can comment down below or find me on Twitter or Goodreads!

Happy Reading!

  1. Looks like you got to curl up with some great reads this year! I have to get my hands on Little Thieves. I’ve been seeing it everywhere and knowing it was a top read for you makes me want to read it even more.
